PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The primary objective of this program is to provide oncologists, pharmacists, and oncology nurses with current and clinically relevant information about the diagnosis, classification, and optimal multidisciplinary management of non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL), and to help these clinicians improve the quality of care they provide to their patients. Following a case-based format, the presentations are intended to illustrate best practices in the diagnosis and management of NHL.
 
TARGET AUDIENCE
This program is intended for physicians, pharmacists, and nurses who treat patients with hematologic malignancies. There are no prerequisites for this educational program.
 
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:
Review recent advances in molecular diagnostic strategies for NHL
Describe the aberrant signal transduction pathways underlying NHL
Compare and contrast current treatment strategies for patients with NHL
Discuss results from recent studies on investigational treatment strategies for NHL
Describe the mechanisms by which current and emerging chemotherapeutic and biologic therapies achieve their antineoplastic effects
The teleconference will include a didactic case-based presentation followed by an interactive question and answer session.
